Business game

Being the boss starts in the game: start your company, hire players, hand out the work, book the profit. Once you grow, form a holding and sell shares on the Stock Market.

A company with real players

When you start a company in Esnaf Simulator, your employees are other players. You post a job listing, choose from the applicants and set their salaries yourself. Right now more than 110 companies and 10 holdings are operating in the city.

Five sectors

Each sector has its own work: a logistics company bids on shipping tenders and runs trips, an automotive company buys and sells vehicles, a real estate company manages properties. Government tenders are open to companies too.

How do you start a company?

1 Get your capital ready You need a registration fee and starting capital. You save up your first money at the market, on the farm or from your wages.
2 Pick your sector and set up the company Your company’s name, sector and account are created. If you like, you can pool money with friends and form a paid-in partnership; everyone owns a share equal to what they put in.
3 Hire staff You hire players who apply to your job listing. As your company levels up, your team grows.
4 Make a production plan and assign work In the production plan, you choose what each employee will produce. Your staff do the work, the profit goes into the company account, and employees also earn a production bonus on top of their salary.

What opens up as you grow

Holding

Bring several companies under one roof. You can appoint an accountant to the holding and share out the work.

IPO

Sell your company’s shares on the Stock Market and raise capital. Pay dividends to your shareholders.

Mergers and transfers

Merge with another company or hand yours over.

Seniority and titles

Your employees gain seniority, and new kinds of work open up as the company levels up.
